For my digipak design, I like the idea of having actual artwork as opposed to photography because I think that it gives me more freedom to design the digipak as well as it suiting the song more. For example, I particularly liked the artwork for the song Sam Smith and Disclosure did for the song 'Omen'.
Inspired from this, I think that I'll either design artwork for the entire digipak or incorporate photography and hand drawn designs together so it's layered for a 3D effect, much like the Disclosure style they've been maintaining recently.
For potential photography, I will use the artist for the front cover. It will most likely be taken at the location of the filming to maintain the link between the song and the video. This picture will also be used for the magazine advert since a common convention of magazine articles is that the photography/artwork is that of the album artwork. This is so the audience don't get confused and are more likely to recognise the one image instead of multiple images.
